Critical Thinking Task
In this blogpost I am testing out my Critical Thinking skills- let's see if this I can critically analyze information!
1- This is a simple assertion because it there is no evidence, it is biased and "Rhetoric" - emotional steers (based on the critical thinking document) and this might not be true through another person's point of view.
2- Simple assertion (same reason)
3- Evidence based because the is a depth number (data) and can be tested though different sources and making a comparison
4- simple assertion can be a rhetoric move - designed to sway (based on the critical thinking document
5- Evidence based, again there is data (statistic) can be tested through medicine practices
6- Can be tested through measuring the string length, however not all Yo-Yo's must be the same length. I think there can be various lengths, so this might be an assertion
7- assertion because it is too vague, no population or location details, no explanation of why this should be true
8- Evidence-based, it specifies who, and can be tested through statistical data and quantitative research-perhaps through a survey as well
It was evident from talking to you that you had worked through this Critical Thinking and Writing task. You show a good understanding in your responses here of the difference between assertions (opinion-based) statements and evidence-based statements. Keep these ideas in mind when writing your set essays and of course, provide in-text citations for examples and support you give to the points that you make.
