How to stay creative and productive

How did I generate my idea/s for this project? Tell the story….

generated by first idea through a Urban Outfitters bag that I have been using recently. I started thinking about the fashion world which I have always been fond of but I have put aside due to the pandemic. So I explored the possible connections and impacts that Covid had on fashion.

How did I begin to develop this idea? Did you draw sketches, take pictures, film clips, what experiments did you do?

My idea was mainly developed through research and browsing on the social media accounts of brands and designers which I usually do during my day

What research have you carried out and how has this assisted you with your ideas and helped you develop them?

I have researched the impacts that Covid-19 had on the fashion industry and above all of the terrible impacts, the one that interested me the most was and how there were millions of unsold items and the excessive waste this was. This made me relate to it because other than the fact that cities were on lockdown and costumers couldn't visit stores, people would not buy clothing to sit at home, in fact I remembered a designer bag I had bought  in December and the little time I had to enjoy it. This made me focus on the topic of sustainability and the importance of buying sustainable clothes and wearing them for a long period of time.

What is your method of working? Explain how you create focus and space for your creative work?

I think that my creativity is quite little due to social media, so when I want to spark my creativity I usually go outdoors usually to the beach or I listen to music and start writing the first thoughts that come to my mind

What does it matter? Who cares?  What universal meaning is there in your work?

I don't think my work will matter to anyone, but I really hope it does one day. I hope my readers will feel comfortable and interested while reading my features or engage with my news. I think that my chosen topic, however can be of interest to who wants to help and protect our environment by doing little such as buying sustainable clothes, as it is a matter that relates to all of us

  1. Your answers here are quite short and you could have added more detail here - The second question - what experiments did you do - how did you explore this idea - browsing the internet is not the only way to explore a creative idea and you should have been exploring using other methods - 'I don't think my work will matter to anyone' is not a good statement at all - why do something if you don't think so - Consider why it should matter and how you hope to engage your reader!

  2. You have not added anything to this blog for over two weeks as discussed you need to send drafts of your writing and you needed to start adding the process of your project to your blog in readiness for the final portfolio
