 Hello everyone and welcome to Gigi's News!
My name is Angy but my friends call me Gigi.
I'm a student at DMU and I decided to make this blog to learn more about Media.
My progression route will be Media and Communication and I hope this blog might give me some experience in this field.

The first thing i would like to talk about is the documentary on Chiara Ferragni's life, called Chiara Ferragni - Unposted. I find it very inspiring how this woman built up her career step by step and became one of the world's biggest fashion influencer.

The documentary shows Chiara's achievements and personal life from her own perspective and from the perspective of the people close to her.  It also shows how her passion for fashion turned her from a young woman with motivation to a strong digital entrepreneur.
She started off with a small blog in 2009 and ended up to have millions of followers on social media.
Throughout the documentary she emphasizes on the importance of a dream and how a person should always try to follow it.

Last Tuesday, scrolling down my Instagram feed, I see Prada posting on Instagram a series of videos titled as Multiple Views in chapters from 1-5. These short films were created to showcase the Spring/Summer 2021 collection in a technologic and surreal way, how Miuccia Prada sees the world today- her vision for the "post-pandemic fashion market" (Madsen, 2020). Chapter 4 - Prada Multiple View Spring/Summer 2021 Chapter 4 was a obvious response to the world of today. Models were placed in different seating rows inside the theater due to social distancing with screens, mobiles, and virtual realty everywhere. A music that is almost scary, resembling horror films and staring looks all suggest the effects of technology and the digital era. Sequential photography made by me (individually)

My initial ideas on this task were to create a set of sequential images that had a deeper meaning compared to the set we created as classwork. I came up with the idea to shoot a set of sequential images whilst giving money to a man in need. I decided to place the action of giving the money halfway through the images because I wanted to create a sort of narrative within the images. In this way, I was able to show the difference in the man's expression before having the money and after having the money. As you can see below, I drew a storyboard sketch to demonstrate my initial idea.  I would like to introduce a new friend I just met, his name is Andrei and he is from Moscow. This is his second time enrolling in DMU since he studied English last year. He is 22 years old and  his progression route will be Film making. He enjoys watching movies and playing games on the computer.
