Interview Questions

My interviewee will be Benedetta Boroli, the creator of Benedetta Boroli show brand based in Milan. I have researched some information about her to have some extra knowledge on her work prior to my interview.

Her brand is a made in Italy brand with a craftsmanship that aims to be simple but at the same time elegant. The brand uses traditional material mixed with modern and technologic materials (Benedetta Boroli, 2020). Her shoes are designed for "women who want to feel feminine without loosing comfort" (Benedetta Boroli, 2020).  On Benedetta Boroli's brand website I have found out that the packaging for her SS20 collection will be entirely sustainable. According to Benedetta Boroli (2020) the brand is recognized for using materials that protect our environment by The International Forest Stewardship Council.

Questions:

1.  What is your brand's approach towards sustainability?

2. Have sustainable materials already been used in your products? (if yes) what are those materials?

3. How has your brand suffered from the lockdown when stores had to close? what impact did this have on your stock?

4. What is your opinion on fast fashion?

5. Do you think that the majority of consumers prefer to have many items that are worn just a few times and are made of a lower quality, or they prefer to purchase long-lasting items that can be used for a longer period of time?

6. Has this opinion changed or has it been reinforced through the pandemic?

7. Has Covid-19 pushed you to consider a more sustainable making of shoes?

8. How was covid impacted your view on fashion for the future?

9. Would you describe sustainability as a key word for fashion in 2020 and the upcoming years, or does this depend on the foundation and ideals of a brand?

10. What advice would you give to brands regarding sustainability and over production after this pandemic experience?

  1. I think the questions are fine here - however if your are interviewing someone it is worth finding out much more about them and you only have one reference here - please look wider and deeper into this person so you have found out as much as you can
